i-MARK Recognized as One of 100 Technology “Companies to Watch”
by The Connecticut Technology Council

HARTFORD, CT,— October 3, 2008 -- i-MARK, Inc., the leading provider of SaaS-based web self-service software to mid-market industrial manufacturers, has been recognized as one of 100 technology “Companies to Watch” for 2008 at the second annual Innovation Pipeline Awards and Technology Showcase. The Connecticut Technology Council (CTC), the state’s industry association for the technology sector, annually recognizes companies at this event with sales under $10M, an innovative product, and a business model that demonstrates potential for future success.

The CTC has named Hartford, CT-based i-MARK, Inc., as a Company to Watch. i-MARK pioneered the development of highly sophisticated Internet-based web-self-service software exclusively for B2B manufacturers of durable products and components. Called 24/7 BUSINESS™, the software plugs-in to manufacturers existing web sites and enables visitors to intuitively navigate through thousand’s of product variations to either configure or select just the right complex product, sub-assembly or component to ’engineer-in’ to new or updated product designs. Other 24/7 BUSINESS™ modules can also be deployed to offer manufacturers full self-service eCommerce and eBusiness capability.

Matthew Nemerson, the CTC President and CEO, notes “we look at hundreds of new ideas and start-ups every year and the companies recognized here are the ones we feel are not only the most exciting but have a real chance to become fast growing firms.”

Awards are the result of a nomination and judging process that engages dozens of technology leaders from corporations such as Pitney Bowes, GE, UTC and Open Solutions and firms such as law firms Cantor Colburn, LLP, Edwards Angell Palmer and Dodge, LLP and accounting firm Fiondella, Milone, and Lasaracina.

Del Merenda, i-MARK President and CEO said, “We are so pleased to be recognized for the hard work and successes we have achieved at i-MARK, particularly as we prepare to announce a new release of our 24/7 BUSINESS software later this month. This award helps further our credibility as a web-self-service software pioneer and also validates our creative use of the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery and low-cost pricing model, which is wildly successful with penny-pinching mid-market manufacturers.“
